Frequently Asked Questions

How do I create my plan?

Step 1. Click any “Get Started” button and create a Willingworth account.
Step 2. Answer straightforward questions about yourself and your wishes, who you want to manage your affairs and how you want to distribute your property.

You will want to think about who should carry out the instructions in your will (your Executor or Personal Representative), who will handle your finances if you are unable to do so (your Agent) and who will carry our your medical decisions if you are unable to do so (your Health Care Proxy). If you have young children, you will name someone to care for them if both parents die while the children are young (your Guardian). If you have questions about the meaning or implications of these terms, we provide helpful educational resources in our blog and glossary.

How much does a plan cost?

Willingworth’s plans provide peace of mind that comes with control and certainty. We believe everyone deserves that! That’s why our products are accessibly priced. Individual plans are $99, Couples plans are $198, and it only costs $49 to add children to either.

I’ve created my plan. Now what?

Breathe a sigh of relief! Your plan’s documents will be emailed to you with a detailed set of instructions that tell you what you need to do next. Some documents can be signed and witnessed while others will require notarization. Once all of your documents are properly signed, we recommend you store them in a safe place and share the location with a trusted family member or friend.

A family member who used Willingworth to create their will has died. What should I do now?

We’re truly sorry for your loss. Here’s what you need to do:

  1. Locate the original will.

  2. On the first page, locate the name of the personal representative or executor and inform them of the family member’s death. This person will be responsible for carrying out the instructions in the will.

  3. Click here for a set of instructions on how to probate the will. Give these instructions to the personal representative or executor.

Why did we start Willingworth?

We started Willingworth because family and friends kept asking us where to turn for good quality planning that was also affordable. We recognized the potential complications of using free or cheap options and thought people deserved better. We believe a high-value and reliable plan should be accessible to everyone and that is the driving force behind Willingworth.
